Who we are

We’re Erik and Michaela Pereyra, and we run Coastal Accounting out of Maryland’s Eastern Shore – where we both grew up. Between us, we’ve worked with enough small businesses to see the same pattern: a bookkeeper who can’t answer the hard questions, or a firm large enough that you’re a number in a queue. We believed there was room for something in between – technically serious, and small enough to actually know you.

Erik Pereyra is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Maryland. His career began in public accounting, where he developed a deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance with his work heavily focused on financial statement audits. Erik brings several years of experience having done work with the following industries: HOA/community associations, non-profits, real estate, property management, and construction.

Michaela Pereyra has extensive experience with bookkeeping, multi-state payroll, property management and has successfully helped build and grow various businesses. Her approach is rooted in meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to crafting tailored financial strategies that support your unique goals.

Our goal is to provide personalized accounting services to your business. Together, we bring a wide range of experience across various industries and software which allow us to properly advise and manage business finances.

Outside of work, we cherish spending time with our young daughter and can often be found fishing on Assateague Island, MD.
